Basil Gin or Vodka Gimlet.


This is a Favorite of mine.

8 basil leaves (Try using Thai Basil)

1 lime

1/2 Lemon

1/2 ounce Simple Syrup or Agave Nectar

2 1/2 ounces vodka or gin

Pinch of Salt.

Muddle first four ingredients. Add ice & Gin, Shake, Strain twice. Serve in Martini Glass. Pairs nicely with a Goat Cheese & Tapanade Crostini.
